CI Coordinator will identify areas in need of improvement, develop and measure standard metrics, develop a plan for implementing improvements and monitor the new process to ensure it works as intended.   CI Coordinator will update project plans, compile and review data with department managers and front-line staff, to assist in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities and how to work more effectively.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating lean improvement teams across the plant.
  • Manage ongoing CI schedule and sustainability.
  • Supporting lean education of 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Continuous Flow, JIT, Kanban, Project Management, and Cost Analysis.
  • Developing processes and systems to ensure sustainability.
  • Assist with facilitation of Kaizen events and project justification and prioritization planning.
  • Tracking and reporting team progress, and helping teams understand how to use the metrics.
  • Reporting to the senior management on current lean progress, savings and future projects.
  • Assist in the development of best practices across all operations
  • Becoming the go to person for all teams and providing support wherever needed.
  • Provide strategic cross-functional leadership across all Value Streams to plan, train, standardize, and sustain the removal of waste.
  • Foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way of life; creating a culture of change.
  • Work with internal and external resources to improve the total enterprise using Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Build strong and positive working relationships with all functional areas across the company.
  • Assisting in the sharing of future state value streams and helping teams prioritize the tasks that need to be accomplished to get there.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree desired or equivalent work experience as a manager in a manufacturing plant with proven track record of implementing improvements
    • 3 years minimum experience working in manufacturing operations.
    • 3-5 years minimum experience as continuous improvement engineer (process improvement engineer).
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work with, teach, and develop methods to ensure accountability of a variety of individuals.
  • Familiar with quality systems, six sigma problem solving techniques preferred.
  • Green belt or black belt preferred not required.
