The Process Technician/Supervisor (PTS) is responsible for changing machine molds, machine color calibrations, optimizing cycle times, improving the molding processes, and increasing the molding efficiencies.   PTS will provide effective leadership of a team of operators in production to ensure accurate assembly of parts, compliance with plant safety and quality policies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provides and executes leadership, direction, and development with teams and coworkers required to meet plant production requirements and objectives.
  • Provides guidance and coaching to employees on company culture, policies and procedure
  • Ensures all production employees are following safety, quality and environmental standards in accordance with GMPs to achieve overall zero safety and quality incidents and a world class performance culture.
  • Ensure that product on hold is minimized and in line with annual targets.
  • Work with production and support department managers/leaders to maximize objectives.
  • Strive for zero incidents and ensure a behavior based safety culture exists within the plant.
  • Strive for world class operating efficiency through transition to TPM processes.
  • Monitor and control quality objectives related to yields, labor variance and holds.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities and plans to reduce cost through labor efficiency, material usage, and equipment use/design.
  • Manage multiple projects, requiring equal attention, meeting all objectives in timely manner.



  • Establish, maintain, and optimize cycle times for all products
  • Troubleshoot common and complex molding problems and perform corrective action.
  • Perform all mold changes, including water, air, hydraulic, and electrical connections from installation to startup.
  • Correctly read, review and fill out appropriate documentation for material identification, special production requirements, hot stamp type & foil selection, instructions tags and labels.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery according to the preventative maintenance program.
  • Report all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Production Manager for prompt repair.
  • Perform color and material changes in a safe, clean, and timely manner.
  • Program color blender by entering shot weight and concentrate let down ratio to provide correct color for molded part.
  • Execute scheduled color changes to ensure product color is correct and uniform and done with minimum production overruns or waste.
  • Establish correct weight for concentrate to be used in program by conducting calibration procedure for all new concentrates.
  • Clean metal separators and magnets and remove any contaminated material to the designated area.  Report unusual findings the Production Manager.
